About the Author
Marcus Adler
Founder & Lead Writer, StoicNow
Marcus Adler founded StoicNow to make Stoic philosophy usable — not admired from a distance, but practiced daily.
For more than ten years he has read the Stoics in and out of translation and put their methods to the test: the morning intention, the evening review, negative visualization, and Epictetus’ dichotomy of control. His writing traces the unbroken line from ancient Stoic ethics to the cognitive behavioral therapy of today, and turns it into steps a beginner can follow before breakfast.
Through StoicNow he builds the tools he wishes he’d had at the start — a lock-screen of wisdom, a Memento Mori grid, daily challenges, and an AI Stoic mentor. Every guide on this site is written or edited by him.
You can explore his writing on the StoicNow blog or try the free Stoic tools.
