Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 14, 2026
We built StoicNow because we believe fewer apps should know more about you. This page explains exactly what we collect, what we don’t, and how to ask us to delete your data. In plain English.
Short version
- We collect your email only if you join our waitlist.
- We use Google Analytics and Yandex.Metrika to understand which pages people read.
- We do not sell your data. We do not use advertising cookies. We do not track you across other sites.
- Our free tools (Life Clock, Stoic Quiz) run entirely in your browser. What you type stays on your device unless you use the Dichotomy of Control tool, which sends only the text you enter to our AI worker.
- You can email hello@stoicnow.app at any time to see or delete your data.
What we collect
Waitlist email. When you submit the waitlist form on the home page, we send your email address to Loops, our email service provider. We use it to notify you when StoicNow launches and, occasionally, to share Stoic writing. You can unsubscribe from any email in one click.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (tag G-HYF8JDFZBM) and Yandex.Metrika (counter 108514925) to see which pages are popular and where people come from. These services receive your IP address, rough location, browser, and the pages you visit. Yandex.Metrika also records anonymized interaction sessions (clicks, scrolls) to help us spot broken pages. We do not connect these signals to your email.
Tool inputs. When you use the Dichotomy of Control tool, the situation you type is sent to our AI worker at tools.stoicnow.app to produce the analysis. We do not store those inputs after the response is returned. When you complete the Stoic Quiz, your archetype and scores are sent to the same worker to generate a personalized summary; the individual answer texts are not sent. The Life Clock is entirely client-side — your birth date never leaves your browser.
Local storage. Some tools save small values in your browser’s localStorage to remember your inputs (e.g. date of birth on the Life Clock, daily usage count). This data stays on your device and we cannot read it.
What we don’t collect
- We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.
- We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
- We do not require you to create an account to use the website or the free tools.
- We do not track you across other websites.
Third-party services

Your rights
You can request a copy of the data we have about you, ask us to delete it, or unsubscribe from our emails — at any time, for any reason. Email hello@stoicnow.app and we will respond within a few business days. If you are in the EU, UK, or California, these rights are guaranteed by law (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA). We honor them globally.
Data retention
We keep waitlist emails until the app launches and for a reasonable period after, unless you unsubscribe or ask us to delete. Analytics data is retained according to Google’s and Yandex’s default retention settings (typically 14–26 months). AI worker logs are retained for up to 30 days for debugging and abuse prevention, then deleted.
Children
StoicNow is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal data to us, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When we make meaningful changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. The mobile app, when launched, will have its own in-app privacy disclosure.
Contact. Questions or requests: hello@stoicnow.app. For the legal record, StoicNow is a personal project; we’ll update this section with a legal entity when one exists.
